Mary is a big fan of organized real estate and a self-professed junkie for stats and news about the industry. She reads the Toronto Star and the Globe & Mail (real paper) everyday to make sure she’s up-to-date on whatever news might affect our real estate business. In her spare time, Mary loves gardening. She finds joy in seeing all her hard work bloom to perfection. Plus, reading at the dock by the water is her happy place.
Career background
Mary’s path into real estate happened by accident. After working in the fashion industry on Spadina Avenue in Toronto for 17 years, Mary found herself without a job. Many companies were being squeezed out of their locations by new tech companies in the early ‘90s, and Mary was unsure how to move forward. Following her brother’s suggestion, she got into real estate after meeting with a few agents and never looked back.
Mary has been working in real estate for 30 years, with 20 spent at Bosley, and five-and-a-half in a management role.
Why she loves real estate
The best thing about real estate to Mary is the people she has met. She loves watching how newbies come and grow, and being part of their lives. Helping agents succeed makes her happy, and she finds it very gratifying to know she had a small part in it. Mary has also made lifelong friends in this business, from colleagues to clients.
Her career today
Mary has been managing an incredible group of real estate professionals at Bosley’s Queen West office in Toronto since 2016.
Community involvement
Mary has volunteered at TRREB for over 15 years and currently sits on the arbitration committee. She also did a two year stint at RECO on their discipline hearings committee. Passionate about progress, Mary has made political contributions in her community by working on the campaign for the Liberal MP in her riding.
