Condo Friendly At Home Workouts

It’s no secret that one of the best ways to boost your immune system and protect your body from harmful infections is to stay fit and active! With rolling lockdowns throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) over the past year, you may have found it challenging to get to a gym or to stick to your fitness routine. And, if you’re living in a condo, you may feel the extra weight of isolation and find it difficult to get in a quality workout. We’ve compiled a list of our favourite ways to stay active at home, and they’re all condo-friendly! 

Strength Training 

If you can get your hands on a set of weights, great! Lifting is perfect for condo living as it doesn’t require any jumping - and your downstairs neighbours will thank you! We also recommend investing in a good set of resistance bands for at-home workouts. They’re versatile and are easy to take anywhere. Here’s one of our favourite resistance band workouts! 


When living in a condo, cardio can seem almost impossible if you don’t have access to a treadmill or stationary bike. This doesn’t have to be true. HIIT (high-intensity interval training) workouts are great for getting in a full-body workout with no equipment at all! These concise workouts use your body weight, and only take around 30 minutes to complete. 


Yoga and stretching are the perfect at-home workout if you’re living in a condo. Yoga might not be the most calorie-burning workout, but it’s the best for your body and mind! You can practice yoga from anywhere, and it’s usually a quiet exercise. Yoga is a relaxing way to start or end your day, and feels great on sore muscles!

Get outside! 

When all else fails, get outside and enjoy the great outdoors! Going for a brisk 30-minute walk is a great way to move your body, get to know your neighbourhood, and even check out and support your local coffee shop (don’t forget your mask)!
