This month we head to Cabbagetown and explore the area with Bosley Agent Michael O’Brien. Cabbagetown is a beautiful neighbourhood located slightly east of central Toronto with excellent eats, shopping, beautiful Victorian-styled homes, and much more! The name “Cabbagetown” originated in the 1840s when Irish immigrants moved to the area and began growing cabbage on their front lawns as a way to earn money. In the 1800s, Cabbagetown mainly consisted of farmlands and small cottages; however, the area quickly began to grow. Some of the original red-brick Victorian homes built in the late 1800s still stand today; these houses are full of character and a significant reason why so many love this area! Join us as we share some of our favourite spots in and around the charming neighbourhood of Cabbagetown.
