Bill Statten B.Sc., CMA, Vice-President Finance
Bill Statten received his undergraduate university degree from the University of Waterloo majoring in science. After a short career as a high school teacher, Bill entered the accountancy profession and took correspondence and evening courses en route to his CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation. Bill has held a wide variety of accounting positions in private corporations as well as working for the Ontario Ministry of Revenue as a retail sales tax auditor. In addition, Bill had his own self – employed accounting business (including tax preparation) which assists him in relating to today’s real estate independent contractors.
Bill believes that not only does his job include overseeing the financial operations at Bosley Real Estate Ltd., but also assisting “his clients – the sales representatives” with matters such as record-keeping, tax, and financial planning.
Bill is a former director of the Toronto Chapter of the Certified Management Accountants. Currently, Bill is the President and Treasurer of Abbeyfield Houses Society of Canada – a Non-profit Charitable Organization that provides accommodation in a family atmosphere for elderly seniors. Currently, there are 30 Abbeyfield Houses in Canada with each house providing accommodation for approximately 10 to 14 seniors. Raymond Bosley is a former president of Abbeyfield Canada and Bosley Real Estate Ltd has been supportive of this charity.
